phased launch
Roadmap
A phased launch — each step only starts once the previous one has been tested. No step depends on a chain upgrade that hasn't shipped.
- Now
Phase 0 — Allowlist
Applications open now. No payment required to apply.
- Submit a Unified Zcash address (u1...) — connecting X is an optional bonus step.
- Basic bot protection on the form — no captcha-solving farms, please.
- Check your status any time on the Checker page.
- Next
Phase 1 — Registry & payment verification testing
Building and testing the off-chain registry before any real ZEC changes hands.
- Open-source ZMD-1 registry format: zmd1|collection|index|cid|contentHash.
- Independent, keyless indexer so anyone can verify ownership without trusting us.
- Shielded payment + memo-tag verification tested against lightwalletd on testnet.
- No real funds are collected during this phase.
- Later
Phase 2 — Mint
Mint opens once registry + payment verification have been tested end-to-end.
- Send a tagged shielded ZEC payment to a per-mint address.
- Once confirmed on-chain, an Asset ID + ZMD-1 record is written to the registry.
- Mint is asynchronous by design — see the FAQ for why it isn't instant.
- Later
Phase 3 — Marketplace
Peer-to-peer trading once mint has been live and stable.
- Non-custodial, wallet-to-wallet settlement — we never hold your funds or your Zecutie.
- Optional 2-of-3 threshold-signature escrow for trustless trades between strangers.
- Later
Phase 4 — Native ZSA (optional, future)
Move to Zcash Shielded Assets once the NU7 upgrade is live on mainnet.
- ZSA is a proposed native multi-asset extension to Zcash — not live yet.
- This migration is optional and only happens after NU7 has shipped and been battle-tested.
- The mint/registry code is built with an abstraction layer so this move doesn't require a rewrite.
ZSA reference dates (testnet ~2026-10-06, mainnet NU7 ~2026-11-05) are approximate and unconfirmed — treat Phase 4 timing as "after NU7 ships," not a fixed date.
